About
The UPnP AV Target Adapter is an open-source software library that connects UPnP AV 1.0 media servers and media renderers as targets to the UCH according to the UCH specification.
There are two implementations of UPnP AV TA:

Resource Files
There are currently two versions of the UPnP AV socket:
One that does not use XML-typed variables (called "level-1 socket"), and that let's the user navigate through the tree of digital media objects, one by one. The level-1 socket is suitable for generic UIPMs/controllers that don't know the XML language for describing digital objects.
The other version (called "level-2 socket") uses DIDL-Lite (see media server description) to convey deep information on the digital media objects stored on the media server. The level-2 socket is suitable for "intelligent" UIPMs/controllers that know the DIDL-Lite language and can handle XML-coded data.
Both sockets are referenced in the target description, and can be operated at the same time.
